Aegean Exporters’ Associations started 2018 with export record. 1 billion 73 million dollars of exportation (meaning 24 percent increase) was made by companies under roof of Aegean Exporters’ Associations. This is the highest exports of 79 years when in terms of January data.
While Turkey’s exports in January rose 16.3 percent, Aegean Exporters’ Associations’ export growth rate leads 7 points above the average of Turkey.
Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Chairman Sabri Ünlütürk stated that Aegean Exporters’ Association made a good start to 2018. Ünlütürk said “We target an export growth rate of 8 percent and export of 13 billion dollars in 2018. Performance in January shows that we can easily reach this goal. We will concentrate on exporting value added products to reach our goal with 7 thousand 500 exporters. We will continue our design, innovation and R&D focused work.”
GERMANY KEEPS LEADERSHIP
Germany maintained its top position with a figure of 127 million 100 thousand dollars export from companies under roof of Aegean Exporters’ Associations. Aegean exporters made 106 million 753 thousand dollars export to the United States in January as well.
